  • "I loved every minute of working with Michelle from day 1. I was really nervous about getting my makeup done for my wedding because each time I had it done for a wedding prior to mine, I didn't like it. I found her via a list of vendors my wedding venue provided me with as a place to start. I looked up each artist's IG account, and Michelle's was by far my favorite. She did makeup and it looked so pretty on everybody and never looked caked on or "clown-ish", which is how I frequently view professional makeup. After reaching out to Michelle via her website, she responded very quickly with a personal phone call and I felt so completely at ease after that. She's very personable and friendly, but always up front and honest with her professional opinions. She made it clear that her goal was only to elevate my features, not to make me look like a different person, and I loved that attitude. She brought this same fun and friendly, but professional and honest dynamic to my hair and makeup trial and helped me to understand when what I was saying I wanted definitely didn't match up with what I was showing her in pictures (Makeup and hair are not my area of expertise). She always gave me tips on a face/skin routine so I'd be good to go for wedding day. I knew I could trust her and I left my makeup and hair trial feeling so incredibly pretty and reassured. The rest of the time leading up to my wedding, Michelle was super easy to work with and communicated very well via her website and email. Her contract was detailed and easy to understand. She gave me a schedule of times/order of hair and makeup for each of my bridesmaids and myself for the day of wedding, which I loved knowing everything was so organized. On the day of she remained so social and friendly but never stopped working for a second and, along with her second artist got through everybody in plenty of time! My wedding was the first wedding I've been to where there was downtime for everybody including my bridesmaid before pictures started. My MIL decided last minute that she wanted her hair done too, and then one of my bridesmaids decided on the day of while getting ready that she wanted her makeup done as well and Michelle remained so flexible and patient and made it happen for both, even though I'm sure that was super stressful for her. All my bridesmaids looked incredible, and I could not have been happier I chose Michelle. I was actually sad she couldn't stay and enjoy the wedding with us because we had so much fun talking with her while getting ready. Either way, she left me with a touchup kit that came in handy for my lipstick. After hours of dancing, my hair updo and makeup was still so perfect in pictures which was also such a pleasant surprise, because I danced A LOT.   • "I booked Michelle for my wedding to do hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids. The entire process from our initial correspondence up to the big day (and beyond) has been a wonderful experience. I cannot say enough how great Michelle is at promptly responding and keeping consistent communication throughout our time working together, which looking back, helped a ton with relieving some stress from the wedding planning process. Once I gave her the information about how many people I was interested in getting services for, she was able to provide a clear quote up front with all the terms on how much it would be costing me (so important when planning, especially when working with a budget!). The trial was also a great experience. I met Michelle for the first time at the trial and she is exactly what I was looking for in a HMUA. Not only is she really good at what she does, she is an absolutely sweetheart! She is extremely professional and personable. She asked me what style and look I wanted and I provided photos I got off Pinterest for her to work from. I usually don’t do my makeup and my hair has been the same style for a while now, so I didn’t know what would look good on me. I told her my main priority was to have a hair style and makeup that I felt comfortable in (the wedding day is LONG) and that I felt was true to ME. She made me feel really comfortable and was open to trying different styles. She continued to check in with me on how I was liking the hair and makeup and always made note of any feedback I gave her. I went home knowing I was in good hands. Between the trial and the day of the wedding, there were additions to my bridal party. I let Michelle know and she changed the quote and proposed schedule to reflect it with no problem at all. Come wedding day, Michelle was accompanied by her assistant who helped do my bridesmaids’ hair. They both arrived on time to take care of us. There was an unexpected downpour in the morning which threw me through a loop but the two of them made the getting ready process as stress-free as possible. My bridesmaids provided what styles they wanted and they all loved how their hair and makeup turned out! As for me, I had some changes I wanted to make to my hairstyle and Michelle made it work. My hair and makeup looked amazing and more importantly, it held up the entire wedding even with the rain! I felt so beautiful! One of my biggest fears was to end up with a look that I didn’t feel comfortable. I love how Michelle listened to what I wanted and understood that I wanted to look and feel like myself on my wedding day. Michelle even provided me with a touch up kit to use after she and her assistant left. After the wedding was over and we received the photos back, I even loved how my hair and makeup came across on camera.
